KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial performance reports to the Management and Board of Directors
- Develop both short-term and long-term financial forecasts to aid internal management and external stakeholders in decision-making
- Provide insights into financial projections and participate in special projects as needed
- Lead the development and management of the group's annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets and organizational goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives in the real estate market
- Provide financial advice and guidance to managers and staff to assist them in achieving their departmental and corporate objectives
- Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinating activities with external audit firms and monitoring their performance
- Ensure compliance with financial and legal obligations, implementing necessary actions to mitigate risks and uphold financial integrity
- Manage currency exchange risk by implementing effective strategies and tactics to minimize potential financial impact
- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations, ensuring consistency in financial reporting and compliance
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and banks, negotiating favorable terms and optimizing banking services for the organization
- Drive the development of comprehensive financial plans that align with the company's strategic direction
- Analyze the organization's liabilities, investments, and financial exposures to develop effective risk management strategies
- Build credibility for the finance group by providing accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior executives to assist in their decision-making process
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial operations, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
- Knowledge of international financial regulations and practices, including currency exchange management
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and supporting organizational growth
- High level of integrity, ethics, and commitment to upholding financial compliance and best practices
- Fluency in Arabic or Kurdish and English is a must
- Experience with ERP systems is highly recommended
- Experience in real estate companies is highly recommended
