Responsibilities
- Oversee and improve manufacturing operations, establishing and driving production goals and developing organizational structures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures, providing resources and training
- Oversee employee hiring, training, development, and management, providing guidance to leadership teams.
- Develop performance and efficiency metrics, identifying areas for improvement and reporting results to executive leadership
- Manage finances, monitoring budgets, expenses, and product unit costs to drive revenue and margin projections
- Reviewing competitor products and pricing to ensure that price points are competitive Developing new packaging materials
- Managing the entire packaging process from start to finish, including designing new packages or labels and ordering supplies
- Reviewing contracts with vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and standards
- Evaluating the environmental impact of various packaging materials to identify more sustainable solutions
- Determining the best approach to use when designing packaging for a new product
- Coordinating with suppliers to ensure that adequate materials are available for production runs
- Reviewing artwork for product labels or packaging designs for content violations, such as inappropriate language or images
- Oversees operations related to the manufacture and distribution of merchandise
- Responsible for hiring employees, providing feedback, and developing team-building strategies
- Must provide motivation and overall direction to employees and oversee the company's marketing efforts, also setting sales targets and ensuring employees follow marketing strategies
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a related business field is required
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in packaging industry
