Roles and Responsibilities
- Establishing, implementing, and maintaining HSE systems and ensuring that HSE forms an integral element of how operations are planned and executed in Iraq
- Collaborating with business groups to leverage best practices
- Willing to act as HSE partner to the business, providing leadership throughout the organization about the development and compliance with HSE processes
- Advising and coach local and regional management to improve HSE performance and drive a proactive approach towards HSE matters. Monitor data to assess HSE challenges, and to develop approaches to control and improve
- Contributing to develop, communicate, and implement short and long-term HSE strategy
- Leading in complying with all applicable HSE rules, customer HSE requirements, regulations, and APC HSE policies
- Ensuring HSE plans, metrics and KPI has are implemented
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in the oil and gas industry or related sectors
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Certified HSE professional (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous
