KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Expansion
- Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for the company's expansion into new food-related businesses
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for growth within the supply chain and related sectors
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain teams capable of supporting the company's growth objectives
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive continuous improvement
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess market trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and partners
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the resilience of the supply chain in the face of potential disruptions.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance supply chain visibility, traceability, and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in establishing and leading new business ventures
- Knowledge of the agribusiness sector, with a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics in the food industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams incl. remote teams
- Proven experience in building and managing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong planning skills, with the ability to align supply chain initiatives with overall business objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment and lead diverse teams through ambiguity
