mselect is looking for an Operations Manager for an FMCG client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 5 years of sales experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our sales and procurement teams while establishing the structure and processes for HR, finance, and other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, with a proven track record of building and optimizing organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, motivate, and lead retail and procurement staff to meet sales targets, profit goals, and retail KPIs with high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
  • Ensure staff are well-trained in product knowledge, sales skills, and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop and implement processes for HR, finance, and other departments, ensuring compliance with store policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, inventory levels, and SKU replenishment for each store.
  • Study sales trends, analyze market competition, and develop strategies to maximize sales.
  • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and merchandise placement.
  • Arrange and review daily, weekly, and monthly store performance reports.
  • Bridge the relationship between the company and brand principals to ensure the success of joint marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to align operational strategies with company goals.
  • Implement KPIs and other metrics to monitor team performance, assisting the HR team in monthly evaluations and KPI setting.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on sales, procurement, HR, and finance.
  • Proven experience in building and optimizing organizational processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and operational tools.
  • Experience in a similar industry is a plus.
