mselect is looking to hire a People Operation Specialist (Senior HR Specialist) for an international IT client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, Arabic is a plus.

Role Summary
Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic People Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the company's daily operations, including Human Resources, Communications, Executive Management, and Business Operations. The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of previous experience in people operations in the telecommunications sector and demonstrate a track record of achieving successful outcomes.

Role Objective
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing significant support to the organization’s talent goals and business partnership in various sectors including human resources (HR), recruiting, organizational development, culture, and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing people operations programs by providing human resources services, such as talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, safety and health, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, compliance, and labour relations, and completing personnel transactions
  • Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with Recruiting, Payroll/Accounting, Finance, other teams, and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of new employees and contingent workers
  • Develop human resources by collecting and analysing information and suggesting courses of action
  • Collect, analyse, and summarize data and trends to prepare executive and management reports
  • Enhance and consult the manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluate and implement potential solutions
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project goals; design schedules, conduct research to collect information and fulfil transactions
  • Protecting the confidentiality of the information to protect the company’s value
  • Comply with Government and regional legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management to take the necessary action
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Improve department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a People Partner, HR program or similar role
  • Strong values with a clear inner core of purpose-driven leadership
  • Strong problem-solving, reporting, and analytical skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems
  • Ability to conduct research and analyse problems at a senior level, providing feedback, guidance, and direction
  • A clear understanding of Human Resources practices and legal requirements
  • Working knowledge of the critical components of a successful HR department including employment law, performance management, resolving conflict, having difficult conversations, employee engagement, training, maintaining employee files, and managing operational budgets
  • Clear, strong verbal communication and consulting skills. Demonstrated ability to work at the senior leadership level
  • Enhanced level of writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly across all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, analyse and inform appropriately while maintaining the required sensibilities in handling confidential information with Discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality
  • Professional service and firm experience are strongly preferred
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree with demonstrated ability to understand the language of business. SPHR or other HR certification is preferred
  • Preferable language: Kurdish as mother tongue
