MSELECT is looking to hire a Travel Sales Agent for a logistics client in Erbil. Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English, Kurdish and Arabic.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and sell transportation, accommodation, insurance and other travel services
- Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate destination, travel dates, costs
- Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travelers
- Book transportation, make hotel reservations
- Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
- Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds
- Enter data into our software and maintain client files
- Network with tour operators
- Maintain statistical and financial records
- Meet profit and sales targets
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field
- Knowledge: Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
- Proven work experience as a Travel Agent
- Computer skills Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
- Interpersonal skills: Strong sales skills and commercial awareness; Candidates should also be willing to learn new programs and logistics applications
- Communication skill: Communication, whether it is via email, phone, or face-to-face is crucial in making a sale
- Languages: English, Arabic, Kurdish
