Job Purpose
Manage and oversee the full financial function within the Iraq business. Provide a support structure to all role players within the Iraq network.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and proper records of Revenue, Expenditure, Assets and Liabilities, and ensure accuracy, timeliness and integrity of financial information, i.e. oversee full accounting function
- Analysing monthly Profit & Loss Statement
- Preparation of ad hoc reports and presentations
- To ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and does not have any unauthorised postings
- Prepare month-end audit files
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Provide financial support to all levels of the business
- Preparation and submission of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
- Prepare Year-end audit
- Review of Annual financial statements
- Ad hoc projects and other daily activities of the financial management function
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Monitoring and analysis of the financial performance and KPIs of the business and key commercial contracts
- Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of daily business controls (e.g. on time performance, staffing levels and productivity measures)
- Responsible for all tax submissions and payments
- Review of payrolls, payments, and reconciliation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Advanced Microsoft excel, and familiar with accounting software – SUN system
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Good knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Good knowledge of Iraqi accounting standards
- Communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written
- High attention to detail, and detail oriented
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
