mselect is looking to hire a Cashier for an international banking client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in cash handling. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The Cashier is primarily responsible for managing the company’s daily cash flows. This includes receiving payments, issuing receipts, working the cash drawer, and performing bank reconciliations. This role significantly contributes to maintaining accurate and efficient financial records. 

Key Responsibilities

Cash Management:
  • Receive cash payments, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Issue receipts for all payments received
  • Accurately count and record all amounts received
  • Prepare daily bank deposits
  • Manage and secure the cash drawer
  • Conduct approved cash disbursements

Account Records:
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all cash transactions
  • Prepare financial reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required

Customer Service:
  • Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner
  • Assist customers with payment-related inquiries

Additional Duties:
  • Assist with other accounting or financial tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all company financial policies and procedures

Requirements
  • Education: Diploma in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Experience: Previous experience in cash handling is required
  • Strong basic arithmetic skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in handling cash and financial documents accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Demonstrated honesty and integrity
