Cluster Marketing Manager

mselect is looking to hire a Cluster Marketing Manager for a hospitality client in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, in the hospitality industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote the hospitality business. This role will oversee all marketing activities, including brand management, public relations, advertising, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and a proven track record of success in marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive yearly & monthly marketing plans aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Brand Management: Strengthen and protect the brand identity through consistent messaging and positioning
  • Public Relations & Partnership: Collaborate with local businesses, tourism boards, and other partners to cross-promote the event spaces for large-scale gatherings, conferences, and corporate retreats Develop and manage relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to enhance public perception and increase media coverage for all business units
  • Advertising: Oversee advertising campaigns across various channels, including print, digital, and broadcast media
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively and allocate resources to maximize ROI
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Liaison with Staff and Managers: Work closely with other members of the hotel management team to identify marketing priorities; Review future booking levels to plan dates for promotions to increase occupancy rates; Work with the sales and F&B team to schedule marketing to attract additional conferences and events; Share the results of customer satisfaction surveys and customer reviews with the customer service team to enhance standards of customer care
  • Analytic and Reporting: Track and measure the success of marketing campaigns using KPIs such as event bookings, customer engagement, website traffic, sales conversion, and brand awareness; Present a regular report to the General Manager detailing marketing performance, challenges, and improvement areas, particularly focusing on hall utilization and revenue generation

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, in the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of graphic design or content creation
  • Certifications in digital marketing or related fields
