JOB OBJECTIVE
The cost controller an experienced, thorough, and insightful cost controller to oversee cost management for our entire company. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various department managers to analyze costs, assess vendor relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up the material flows from the warehouses to the centres and determine the cost
- Follow up the balances of materials at cost for each store and centre
- Preparing a monthly materials cost report
- Calculating direct and indirect material costs
- Analyse invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
- Arranging with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste
- Document, monitor and update controlling policies
- Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
- Analyse costs and profits
- Set and track financial KPIs
- Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
- Perform internal audits and assist with external audits

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 7-10 or more years of previous work experience as a cost controller or similar role
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. or a related field
- Additional qualifications might include an advanced accounting degree (e.g., Master in the related field, Master of Business Administration)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation
- experience with accounting financial statements
- Good knowledge of accounting software
- Must be able to travel
- Display exemplary ethical behaviour when working with confidential documents
- Effective data trending, document control, and technical skills
- Awareness of the industry’s latest technology trends and applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Advanced experience with (ERP - Microsoft Excel)
- Strong problem-solving, training, team-building, and mentoring abilities
- language skills: English, Kurdish in advance
- Able to work under pressure or meet tight deadlines
