mselect is looking for a Country Sales Manager for an international industrial client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of managerial experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must, Kurdish is a plus.
Job Summary
Responsible for the management of Iraq sales team and the achievement of the country sales target and will be reporting to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Team management: manage the schedule and the priorities of the sales team, provide support with customer visits, negotiations and deal closing
- Team planning: provide strategy and planning for each business unit with the concerned sales members
- Team relations: maintaining continuous contact with the sales team, being their 360-degree touch point for nurturing a long-term relation and help them achieve their potential
- Prospection: Targeting new prospects who have not previously purchased from the Company, or regain lost customers, or maximize the potential of existing accounts
- Speed: Respond to any request from a customer, colleague or supplier within 24 hours, to maximize customer satisfaction and present a professional company image
- Competence: understand the customers’ specific requirements, collect detailed information and prepare RFQ forms and quotations, and close deals
- Reporting: continuous reporting of all activities on cloud-based CRM. Describe in detail all the work done and feedback from customer
- Team development: ensure continuous coaching and guidance to all team members equally, with regards to product knowledge and soft skills
- Product knowledge: developing and maintaining a high level of technical product knowledge via continuous trainings
- Pricing: set pricing and negotiate with suppliers and customers to achieve target gross margins
- Management reporting: Prepare reports to management on activities, results, payments and forecasts for the team
- Professionalism: ensure a 24-hour response to all stakeholders, in line with the company’s culture
- Hard work: ensure the completion of all tasks to the fullest up to customer satisfaction
- Integrity: ensure the delivery of all promises within deadline, to customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Business responsibility: protect the company from eventual business risks with doubtful customers or persons, or potential problematic transactions
- Payment collection: ensure all company payments are collected on time, and avoid financial risks that might affect the company
- Always available by phone and email at all times even after-hours, weekends and holidays
- Additional other duties as assigned or required
Key Qualifications
- Engineering degree is a must
- Minimum 8 years in people management, and 6 years in engineering
- Languages: English, Arabic. Kurdish is a plus
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Strong negotiation and people relationship-building skills
- High performer without close monitoring, always having company objectives in mind
- Continuously takes initiatives to discover new business opportunities
- To always express honestly with all stakeholders about all topics
- Pleasant and respectful relations with colleagues as if they are customers
