KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Subsurface Data Coordinator 2G on management of geological data coming from Operations Subsurface team (archive, store, organize, update, and retrieve data)
- Assist the Subsurface Data Coordinator Reservoir on management of real time and industrial data coming from Operations GSR, Field Operations, Drilling, WellPerf, etc. (archive, store, organize, update, and retrieve data)
- Designs and implements automated, semi-automated and manual workflows to update the data and ensure standardized data sharing between Assets, Métiers, Entities, Affiliates and Headquarter (HQ)
- Manipulate, analyze, and presents Geographic Information to support the decision-making process of the different asset teams
- Manage regional GIS and cartographic projects and produce oil and gas maps
- Provide high quality, accurate and timely GIS support, analyses, and technical advice to non-expert GIS users
- Implements and manages web GIS solutions
- Manipulate and manage a variety of geospatial datasets, ensuring their completeness and correctness using best practices to facilitate data management
- Implements the link between GIS data and other non-GIS Geosciences software solutions like Sismage (GSR interpretation software) for completeness and adequate data integration to guide decision making
- Engage users to define data needs, project requirements and put in place solutions
- Communicate with the users and the Information Technology (IT) entity to solve problems on everyday challenges
- Ensure optimization of disk space usage – avoid duplication of data online, in liaison with IT entity
- Report on support services provided to end-users
- Guarantee integrity, accuracy, update, and availability of all databases the job holder’s responsibility
- Guarantee the integrity, reliability, and availability of GIS GSR data under the job holder’s responsibility
- Contribute to optimizing the organization and sharing of experience with HQ; apply rules and recommendations, and any standardization required by HQ
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Data Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Geosciences data, especially Well and Production data
- Good knowledge in Well Data management
- Good knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including ESRI’s Geographic information systems software (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, etc.) is a plus
- Competencies in geodesy, cartography, spatial data management, database design and information systems are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of English language (speaking and writing)
