MSELECT is looking to hire an Engineering Store Keeper for an industrial and distribution group in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and be fluent in English and Arabic.

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE

Managing the day to day operation of the spare parts store that involve activities such as compiling information, records, inventory, purchasing, receiving, issuing of materials, spare parts, equipment and services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Spare Parts Management            

  • Managing Engineering Store workforce
  • Oversee spare parts availability
  • Maintain stock level
  • To communicate with local and foreign vendors/suppliers for the purchasing and delivery of materials, parts and services.     
  • Improve availability
  • Improve reliability
  • Spare Parts Inventory
  • Managing Store Inventory by establishing Min-Max on every SKUs.
  • Purchasing right & quality materials and spare parts
  • Source-our alternative suppliers for cost-effective and better-quality parts and materials
  • Coordination and effective communication with suppliers
  • Reduce Cost
  • Improve availability

Support operational team          

  • Purchasing materials, parts, or services as requested by other departments.
  • Source-our alternative suppliers
  • To communicate with local and foreign vendors/suppliers for the purchasing and delivery of materials, parts and services

Energy Consumption    

  • Manage/monitor utilities consumption
  • Record Inventory            
  • Reduce cost

Information Management          

  • Implement WO system
  • Accurate and on-time completion of work orders
  • Improve Work Order completion % Constant Improvement         
  • Accurately record incidents on work orders
  • Do proper root cause analysis and record information on WO’s
  • Suggest improvement actions to prevent similar incidents
  • Suggest specific maintenance activity     
  • Improve availability and reliability
  • Number of suggestions implemented
  • Reduce cost

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Apply company safety rules and regulations
  • Suggest safety improvement in workplace and PPE’s
  • Perform workplace housekeeping           
  • Improve GHK results
  • Low LTA’s (high work man-hours w/o LTA)

Flexibility          

  • Follow Direct report order for any additional tasks assigned to in any area in the plant.   
  • 100 % full support.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • College Diploma with Business administration or management courses or Computer course or Engineering course.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Store Management

Minimum Experience

  • With at least 3 years of experience as Storekeeper or Stockroom Supervisor/Clerk from any industrial or manufacturing environment that is directly related to the above specified duties and responsibilities
  • Must have thorough knowledge and experience on MIS, CMMS package.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • The ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures.
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
  • The ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns.
