Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of the network rollout process, including overseeing timelines, resources, and quality standards to ensure smooth implementation of microwave transmission sites
- Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, budgets, and deliverables for the rollout of microwave transmission sites
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, and field operations) and external stakeholders (vendors, subcontractors) to ensure timely site preparation, equipment delivery, and installation
- Oversee the deployment of microwave transmission equipment across various sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, and specifications
- Monitor the progress of site activities, including permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning, to identify and mitigate any issues or delays
- Implement quality control measures throughout the rollout process to ensure equipment and installation meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of site installations to verify adherence to quality and safety protocols
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, updating them on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring their requirements are met
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting milestones achieved, issues resolved, and potential risks to management and customers
- Identify potential risks related to site readiness, permitting, logistics, and technical challenges, and develop mitigation strategies to prevent rollout delays
- Coordinate with field supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and commissioning
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and manage resources efficiently to avoid cost overruns and ensure optimal allocation of labor and equipment
- Track all project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Lead and motivate the rollout team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and successful project delivery
- Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment to enhance productivity and communication
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive experience in telecom project management, particularly with microwave transmission or similar RF technologies
- 5-10 years proven experience in microwave transmission technologies, including planning and field supervision
- Strong knowledge of rollout processes
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project) and RF planning tools
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and field procedures
- Good command of written and spoken English
Additional Requirements
- Experience in deployment/swap projects for MW solution could be a plus
- Ability to travel frequently to various project sites as needed
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and timelines
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred
- Preferred to be based in Middle Euphrates / South of Iraq (Al-Diwanyiah)
