MSELECT is hiring a Head of Social Media for a Public Service client in Erbil. Candidates must have minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English, Kurdish and Arabic. 

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop, implement and manage social media strategy to align with department goals
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Keeping track of data and analyzing the performance of social media campaign
  • Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer or any other effective tools
  • Work with the team to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other sections of the department
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Hire and train others in the team
  • Provide constructive feedback of social media
  • Monitor and train the social media specialists/employees
  • Ensure all the press releases are posted on the social media in a timely manner
  • Fully dedicate him/herself for this job.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media best practices.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Good experience in social media research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Excellent multitasking skills, to work on a number of projects at once
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
