Job objective
As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading our human resources department and developing and implementing HR strategies and policies to support the overall business objectives of the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's overall objectives
- Manage and oversee all HR functions, including recruitment and selection, on-boarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training and development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to employment
- Partner with the senior management team to provide advice and support on HR matters
- Create and maintain HR metrics and reports to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work culture and improve employee retention
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks
- Manage the employee performance review process, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Conduct salary bench-marking and market research to ensure the company's compensation packages remain competitive
- Advise managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure all HR processes and documentation comply with legal requirements and best practices
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in HR, and incorporate them into the company's HR strategy and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in HR, with 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a multinational company is a plus
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is required
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi labour laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
