Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee our dairy products laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and maintaining the quality and safety standards of our dairy products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate laboratory operations, including managing staff, conducting tests, and preparing reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventory
- Implement and maintain quality control and safety programs
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of laboratory operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate testing of dairy products
- Interpret test results and make recommendations for process improvement
- Manage laboratory budgets, including forecasting and expense management
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in laboratory technology and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a dairy laboratory environment
- Strong knowledge of dairy products testing methods and procedures
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for dairy products
- Experience managing a team of laboratory technicians
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems
