mselect is looking to hire a Learning and Development Officer for a consultancy client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development and coordination. Fluency is a must in English and Arabic or Kurdish.

JOB SUMMARY
The Learning and Development Officer will work within the Learning and Development Department to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of L&D programs for internal and external parties. Responsibilities include writing proposals, preparing quotes, as well as coordinating day-to-day communication and administration with participants, trainers, internal teams, and clients. This role also involves organising and preparing materials, managing course evaluations, and exploring new business opportunities by engaging with potential clients, attending fairs and exhibitions, and presenting at conferences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative and Coordination Duties:
  • Write and prepare L&D proposals and quotes
  • Manage, increase, and maintain a pool of trainers across various topics
  • Improve the day-to-day administration of the L&D team
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration, logistics, setup, and delivery of L&D programs, including providing technical support
  • Schedule training events, coordinate with instructors, obtain and distribute required instructional materials, and communicate schedules and details
  • Use an information system or database to enter data and produce reports on L&D statistics, inventory levels, or assessments of programs and instructors
  • Support the development of needs assessment surveys, feedback, and monitoring systems
  • Assist with any other tasks required to support the L&D department
  • Be available to travel for managing and overseeing training conducted outside the facilities
Sales and Business Development:
  • Manage the marketing channels for the L&D department
  • Increase the number of participants signing up for public courses
  • Explore new business opportunities by meeting with potential clients, participating in fairs, exhibitions, and presenting at conferences
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships through effective communication and follow-up

REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in business development and coordination
  • Fluency in English and Arabic or Kurdish
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience with managing projects and timelines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize
