mselect is looking to hire a Lift Planner for an oil and gas service client in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of lifting. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
JOB PURPOSE
Lift Planner job description includes a set of responsibilities related to planning and organizing lifting operations at work sites, especially in the fields of oil fields, ports and transportation. His role is essential to ensure that all lifting operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with relevant standards and laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks related to lifting operations and ensure that necessary measures are taken to mitigate these risks
Develop a detailed lifting plan: Prepare an accurate lifting plan that includes a description of the equipment used (such as cranes), loads, movement paths, attachment points, and any potential restrictions
Selection of appropriate equipment: Select the correct equipment for lifting based on the type of load, weight, and surrounding environment, while ensuring that the equipment is valid and suitable for use
Cooperation with the technical team: Work with engineers and site supervisors to ensure that lifting operations are consistent with the schedules and overall project planning
Compliance with Standards and Laws: Ensure that all lifting operations comply with local and international laws, including occupational health and safety standards
Conduct Safety Inspections: Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure that it is safe to use and well maintained
Team Management: Direct the lifting team and ensure that they are trained in safe lifting techniques and procedures
Reporting: Prepare reports on lifting operations, including any problems, accidents or changes to the plan
Communication with Stakeholders: Communicate with all stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors, to ensure that they understand and agree to the lifting plan
Ensuring Environmental Compliance: Consider environmental considerations such as noise and pollution when planning lifting operations, especially in sensitive areas
REQUIREMENTS
Holder of certificates in the field and has at least 2 years of experience in the field of lifting
Educational attainment Diploma or bachelor's degree or equivalent
