MSELECT is looking to hire a Maintenance Team Leader for an industrial and distribution group in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 10-15 years experience in the food and beverage industry and preferred exposure to 5S standards and TPM and must be fluent in English and Arabic.
 

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver the set KPI’s by maintaining the process & packaging equipment’s at rated speed, maintaining the Maintenance workshop to 5S Gold Standard, minimizing the down time by proper planning the preventive maintenance tasks, Ensure the team are submitting proper RCA for any issue and support them if required

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Safety:

  • The maintenance team leader should adhere to all the safety requirements as defined in the H&S standards
  • Ensure that all PPE’s are used while attending any task in the factory
  • Ensure all machinery safety doors are working correctly with zero tolerance for any door bypass by maintenance team

KPIs:

No LTA’s or work injuries due to negligence

 

Quality:

  • The maintenance team leader should take the owner ship that all products adhere to the quality standard by ensuring all machinery are running smoothly without any affect to the product quality
  • Should not bypass any system which would affect quality of the product
  • The maintenance team leader should be aware of any C.C.P in all machines and support operation to take remedial action if outside limits

KPIs:

Zero defects and loss due to effective monitoring

 

Lines Efficiency:

  • Handling Breakdowns in correct way without any extra down time
  • Overhauling plan to be executed 100 %
  • Zero stoppage for any critical spare parts availability
  • The maintenance team leader to maintain RCA’s reports and follow up with maintenance staff closing all the actions

KPIs:

Lines efficiency 90%

 

Reporting:

  • The maintenance team leader should report actual versus planned maintenance in weekly biases
  • The maintenance team leader should maintain daily operation issues action plan

KPIs:

  • PM execution 95%
  • RCA report and action plan

 

Technical Expertise:

  • The maintenance team leader should have excellent knowledge and understanding of the mechanical or electrical and electronic systems for all machinery and equipment’s in the process and packing lines
  • The maintenance team leader should plan the preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure the technician carry out the tasks on time
  • The maintenance team leader should have basic and moderate knowledge about PLC so have can be able to solve all hard ware PLC related issues
  • Support the maintenance technicians resolve all kind (basic, moderate and advances) mechanic and electrical issues
  • Will provide 1st & 2nd and 3rd line diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Have a full understanding of the site RCA problem solving methodology. Should resolve to fault finding by careful analysis of the equipment rather than resorting to shortcuts
  • Give support to the technicians over 24hrs to ensure the team is handling the issues in correct way
  • The maintenance team leader should have strong experience for process machineries (maximal, pasteurizers, mixing, Homogenizers, heat exchangers and CIP) from JPT and VDM
  • The maintenance team leader should have strong experience for packing can and NRB lines (Fillers, can coolers, tunnel pasteurizers, labellers, shrink wraps, palletizers, de-palletizers and conveyors) from JPT, Krones, Sidel and OCME
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • The maintenance team leader should take the owner ship to solve any major issue in the factory and give the required support to the maintenance technicians
  • The maintenance team leader to Ensure the availability of the critical spare parts all the time
  • The maintenance team leader to Ensure the availability of the technician to attend all kind of breakdowns

KPIs:

  • All equipment’s are operated with full efficiency and minimal DT
  • Diagnosis of all DT s done in a systematic way using 4M, 5Y’s and then RCA to be done for the failure
  • No forced deterioration on the equipment due to improper cleaning, inspection, lubrication and improper asset management

 

5S standards:

To ensure that 5S Gold standards on site are adhered to electrical workshop and where ever he works

KPIs:

5S Gold standard in mechanic workshop

 

Preventative & Corrective Maintenance:

  • Plan & Schedule PM during shut down based on the Work Orders generated through Pragma
  • Identifying issues which would have an impact on the Safety & Efficiencies and ensure that it is highlighted & addressed immediately either during the run or by planning a shutdown
  • All safety related issues to be immediately closed after discussing with maintenance TL
  • Train & Lead the technicians to do PM and Breakdowns handling in correct way
  • Any outstanding issues which could hinder production at the start up to be addressed/communicated to maintenance manager
  • Any outstanding routines to be completed

KPIs:

Close assigned work orders 100% monthly

 

Budgeting & Costing:

  • Involve in the budget preparation as per the overhauling plan for next year
  • Track maintenance cost/case vs budget in daily bases and report to maintenance manager in weekly bases and reason for crossing the budget if any

KPIs:

The monthly expenses within the budget

 

Resource Managing:

Track the performance of the maintenance staff daily and report to maintenance manager

KPIs:

  • Yearly appraisal to minimum strong for all the staff
  • Involve in the development plan for under-performance staff

 

Asset Care:

to take daily tour for all running lines discuss with the operation team leader if any issues in the lines and take corrective actions

KPIs:

No Forced Deterioration of Machines

 

Cleaning:

Ensure the maintenance technicians maintaining the level of house keeping the workshop and where ever they are working up to gold standard

KPIs:

Maintaining 5’S gold standard

 

Hand Overs:

Ensure proper hand over is happening between maintenance technicians

KPIs:

All handovers are done effectively and communicated to the reliever

 

Flexibility:

  • The maintenance team leader should have the flexibility to do the technician jobs (electrical and mechanical) for all machineries in the plant
  • Follow Direct report order for any additional tasks assigned to in any area in the plant
  • The maintenance team leader should have flexibility to operate and trouble shoot the utilities equipment’s if required

100 % full support

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/ Graduate in Engineering

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience 10-15 years’ experience in soft drink industry and preferred with exposure to 5S standards and TPM
  • basic Computer literacy is must (Ms office)
  • Willing to work with multiple nationalities
  • Well organized with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
