ROLE SUMMARY
Understands and translate customer-engineering requirements into manufacturing processes that delivers parts on time, achieving excellent quality and cost objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan machining processes by studying work orders, blueprints, 3D models, wire frame models, engineering drawings, material specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters
- Applies statistical methods and performs stack-up calculations to determine optimized manufacturing processes in terms of safety, quality, repeatability, and cost
- Proactively resolves problems—technical, planning, or product quality—to maximize process repeatability, and minimize cost of production
- Contributes and takes ownerships in the generation of PFMEA documents
- Read and produce engineering drawings according to different international standards with a sound knowledge of GD&T
- Prepares/modifies technical drawings, specifications, calculations, visual aids and any other documentation for production instruction or fixture definition
- Supports in the design and modification of tooling and fixtures
- Delivers results on any business support project (i.e. cost saving, industrialization, NCR, Mods) on time and within budget
- Prepare and maintain work Instructions to support production operators
- Issues engineering official communication to production staff when an approved deviation is taken from work instructions
- Works within the limits of authority as defined by the Manufacturing Engineering Procedures getting adequate approvals with deviations are required
- Observes test cuts and FAIs during manufacturing processes
- Create or modify Process Flow Charts, covering all manufacturing process steps
- Releases rework sequences in the ERP system, providing adequate instructions as required
- Record and project manage all actions required to close any assigned engineering change proposal (ECP) successfully
- Maintains an error-free configuration in the PLM and ERP systems for any assigned part numbers

Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Aerospace, Defense and Oil & Gas is desirable
- PMP, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of 3 & 5 axis machining, experience with Boeing or Airbus components, 5+ years in aerospace or automotive manufacturing preferred (oil & gas considered)
- Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvement to enhance efficiency, eliminate waste and reduce costs. Experience using CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX
- Familiarity with non-conformance processes
