mselect is looking to hire a MRTA Support Engineer for an oil and gas service client in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 4 years of relevant experience. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

Job Purpose
To provide required support to Maintenance, Reliability & Turn Around teams of project. The MRTA discipline is primarily responsible for maintaining & assuring the Integrity of Facilities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Get oriented with & support Maintenance team in predictive maintenance, execution of routine scheduled PM, as well as corrective maintenance activities
  • Review equipment PM & CM strategy, maintenance procedure, work instructions and quality control check sheets. Identify & suggest improvement/optimization plan
  • Review equipment PM plans, implementation & updating equipment history records
  • Engage with maintenance & Workshop teams in equipment repairs & overhauls. Prepare equipment failure reports, repair reports & quality check sheets updates
  • Review of maintenance packages, equipment BOM & spares required
  • Support Reliability Engineer in managing unscheduled deferments (production losses), threats to availability, bad actors (repeated failures) to drive sustainable risk & reliability management in a consistent manner
  • Identify potential threats to reliability & availability through daily production reports, plant trips, equipment reports, maintenance records, SAP history & HSSE issues
  • Conduct 5whys investigations & actions follow up
  • Attending and providing support in ORIP meeting facilitation
  • Weekly and monthly Reliability Report sending to O&M focal point
  • Participation & support in equipment shutdown, plant shut down & Turn Around activities
  • Support & assist Turn Around team in preparation of packages
  • Review of T/A packages, procedures, quality check sheets, spares, especial tools requirements, logistics & start up check registers
  • Participate in T/A work execution, progress monitoring, completion, close out, issuing statement of fitness & preparing reports

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Training requirements:
  • BSc. Degree in any discipline of Engineering or science
Experience:
  • 4 years of job experience in industry, preferably related to Oil & Gas in Maintenance, operation or reliability
Language proficiency, computer and software skills:
  • Excel – Intermediate
  • Word – Intermediate
  • Power Point - Intermediate
  • English – upper intermediate (verbal & written)
