JOB OBJECTIVE
Payroll Supervisor responsibilities include calculating employees’ compensation, updating internal payroll databases and ensuring timely payments. To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for numbers and be able to handle sensitive information in a fast-paced environment. If you’re also familiar with labour legislation, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help run a smooth and accurate payroll process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing payroll and incentives systems for the sales department (sales and pre-sales)
- Ability to work on sales systems
- Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets
- Calculate expenses and allowances
- Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month
- Schedule bank payments to employees
- Distribute payment statements
- Report on payroll expenses
- Ensure wages, SS and tax comply with regulations
- Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
- Answer employee questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions
- Compile key operational payroll metrics & dashboards
- Prepare periodic payroll reconciliation and submit reports to the finance manager for review
- Over 5 years of experience in Payroll for a large organisation
- BSc in Accounting, Human Resources or relevant field
- Strong excel skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
- Good knowledge of labour legislation
- Time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and payroll best practices
