Job Purpose
The Procurement Specialist shall undertake end to end procurement activity for materials and services. This position is expected to act as subject matter expert and is required to multi task within contracting & procurement to drive improvements and ensure safe, smooth, and on time delivery of materials and services to the businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Independently execute tendering activity
- Maintain all records in a share point/SAP in a structured format
- Maintain HSE as priority when executing the work
- Advice and support businesses to ensure all parties understand the CP processes
- Proactively work with businesses to identify third party needs for better planning
- Develop and maintain good working relation with all parties
- Help CPL with reporting and carrying out other ad-hock tasks within and/or for CPL
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within oil & gas industry
- Minimum 2 years of experience of handling procurement of materials
- Experience of dealing with international vendors
- Experience of working in a JV environment will be advantage
- Well versed in MS office and SAP
- Upper-intermediate Communication skills
- Analytical skills
- English is must and Arabic knowledge is preferred

- Understand end to end procurement steps inside and outside of the SAP

- Knows how to benchmark single source deals to demonstrate competitiveness
- Understand business needs and act accordingly

- Undertake analysis to identify improvement opportunities

- Good in market intelligence and to assess vendor’s capability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively report up analytical information
