mselect is looking to hire a Project Director for a healthcare client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare, out of which preferably 5 years of experience in a managerial role. Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, Arabic is a plus.
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to handle overall performance of several healthcare projects with focus on advancing healthcare in the Kurdistan Region and assuming responsibility for the performance of the project managers under their direction. The position is also required to identify operational issues, performance results, determining project objectives such as, efficiency, cost savings, safety, estimating relevance, time, and costs. Ensures the client’s vision is achieved by managing the client’s expectations, attends internal project reviews with the Project Mangers to discuss the financial performance of the projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and screening alternative solutions, calculating economics, determining impact on total system
Improves operational quality results by studying, evaluating, and recommending process re-design, implementing changes, contributing information and opinion to unit design and modification teams
Ensure accurate handling and completion of progress reviews on performance and development plans within agreed timelines
Works with Group CEO on current and long-range goals, objectives, plans and policies of the company
Ensure sharing of knowledge and best practices within the company and counsel managers to enhance performance
Lead project and systems quality standards set by the Company
A broad understanding of HealthCare within the Kurdistan market
Plan and manage projects to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Undertake design activities as necessary to meet project deadlines
Timely delivery and budget compliance of all work carried out
Provide information and regular reports on team and project performance
Liaise with main contractor, manage subcontractor for smooth progress of works
Act as line manager, mentor, and Project team manager such that those under personal control achieve company and personal developmental targets
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a tier 1 institution complimented by master’s degree in business administration
Years of Experience:
Successful candidate must have significant experience of healthcare sector and must have developed knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory environment for the industry
Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare, out of which preferably 5 years of experience in a managerial role
Job Specific Skills:
Project management, operational analysis, process improvement, financial performance review, safety and compliance
Fluency in English and Kurdish is a must, Arabic is a plus
