mselect is looking to hire a Project Manager - Special Projects (UAE and West Africa) for a Military Vehicle MRO client in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Candidates must have a minimum of 6+ years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing system integration or special projects of a similar nature is preferred. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

JOB SUMMARY
Provide immediate leadership and guidance for all assigned project employees. Plan and oversee the execution of all activities related to the assigned project. Ensure the delivery of the project on time, on quality, on cost and in accordance with any Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to the assigned project contract.  Learn, understand and comply with applicable health, safety and environment directives. Participate in the development of a safe and healthy working environment.  Ensure compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the immediate leadership, guidance and supervision of all assigned project employees
  • Manage the provision and execution of the assigned project contract between client and the customer
  • Provide effective leadership, establish, and maintain a productive and harmonious working relationship with all those involved in the project
  • Ensure the profitability goals of the Company are met or exceeded while remaining in accordance with approved objectives
  • Collect and maintain statistics on all KPIs associated with the project contract
  • Prepare and execute the project financial budget and maintain a budget/expenditure database
  • Identify potential opportunities for project continuity and expansion
  • Routinely brief the customer and client’s senior management on the status of the project
  • Conduct a monthly review and analysis of the project performance
  • Establish effective project goals
  • Communicate, enforce and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Effectively communicate customer protocols to all assigned employees
  • Provide a weekly significant activity report to the CEO
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives
  • Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded
  • Develop and manage the assigned employees, including hiring, coaching, conducting appraisals, disciplining and recommending termination if necessary
  • Recommend and provide additional training when determined necessary
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information
  • Perform other duties as directed by the CEO

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing system integration or special projects of a similar nature is preferred
  • Previous military experience or logistics management experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of technical supply functions in support of maintenance operations is an advantage
  • Conversant with maintenance or production technical order and publications systems is preferred
  • The ability to interpret and implement procedures in compliance with ISO guidelines is preferred
  • The ability to produce reports, technical papers and detailed spreadsheets is required
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and a Computerised Maintenance Management system such as SAP or MAXIMO is preferred
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English and in Arabic, both in writing and verbally is required 
  • Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license
