Job Objective
Maintaining a positive image of the company, writing marketing materials such as social media posts, finding potential leads, and attending meetings. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing successful public relations campaigns, building relationships with key media contacts, and ensuring that the company’s messages are communicated effectively to its target audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management
- Acting as a spokesperson for the company’s brand
- Representing your company at events
- Managing and updating a client’s social media posts
- Build strong relationships with key media contacts (journalists, bloggers)
- Managing, arranging and overseeing events
- Monitoring publicity and press coverage
- Commissioning market research
- Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising
- Coordinating paid and unpaid advertising.
- Address inquiries from the media and other parties
- Track media coverage and follow industry trends
- Prepare and submit PR reports
- Manage PR issues
Key Requirements and skills
- BSc/ BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations or a related field
- Excellent grasp of the English, Arabic and Kurdish languages (oral and written)
- Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
- Background in researching, writing and editing publications
- Proficient in MS Office and social media
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
- Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
- Good computer skills
