Job Purpose
The QHS Supervisor is the key QHS point of contact for Project Quality Health & safety Management, Project Quality Assurance within customer projects, regional and/or global point of contact for Project Quality Health & Safety issues including escalation process
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance and monitor the execution of project/customer specific quality, health & safety plan and ensure alignment with customer and suppliers' contractual requirements
- Support project HRPIA and Supplier SMA
- Conduct QHS Induction and client rule training for team and Suppliers
- Facilitate other H&S training – Work At Height and Rescue, Rigging and Lifting, Defensive Driving, Electrical training, first aid, EMF/RF training etc
- Ensure Road Safety, Working at Height, Electrical, Rigging and Lifting and FASTEN compliance
- Ensure site quality process is being followed and implemented within Services projects
- Facilitate Health & Safety Risk Assessment for the projects and implement control measures to mitigate the risk
- Conduct site QHS inspection to ensure field team compliance with Health & Safety requirements and Quality standards (expected 75% of time in field doing QHS inspections)
- Ensure NDPd and NDPc used for uploading QHS inspection results
- Review and feedback to supplier on their QHS inspections and tool usage (NDPd and NDPc)
- Prepare and circulate project QHS report and follow-up and corrective/preventive actions internally and from Suppliers
- Participate in internal and external meetings and represent QHS
- Keep QHS records up to date in SharePoint
- Support ISO/OHSAS certification program and Internal audits
Requirements
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification in H&S
- Five years’ experience in Telecom field
- Effective and open communication skills in English and Arabic
- Persuasive and able to influence others especially suppliers
- Positive attitude and able to deliver result with no or minimum supervision
- Able to prepare and deliver training
