Job Objective
The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for developing specifications and maintaining quality control within the laboratories and R&D facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing chemical QC tests according to internal standards, ISO standards, and EN standards
- Define raw material and finished goods specifications
- Prepare liquid samples for any new project proposal according to the suggested formulation from the R&D supervisor
- Perform initial material testing and specifications testing
- Prepare reports on new raw materials and new products that may be released
- Responsible for running and maintaining the labs of Iraq, following safety and environmental guidelines
- Keep accurate records and maintain good laboratory notebook practices
- Maintain information with appropriate protection of proprietary information (internally and externally)
- Provide technical support to other departments, particularly the manufacturing plant, to assure product quality
- Prepare chemical reports on a periodical basis
- Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence
- Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and make suitable changes if required
- Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation, and appreciate team contributions
- Ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development to fully utilize employee potential
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry (BCs in Chemistry)
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in chemical labs implementing quality control for materials
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic for effective communication
- Required PC skills: Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Motivating and positive personality traits
