Job Summary
The reservation agent is responsible for handling customer inquiries, providing travel information, and booking reservations for various travel services. They assist clients in planning and arranging their trips by offering guidance on destinations, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing information on travel options, pricing, availability, and package deals.
- Reservation Management: Book flights, hotels, Visa, car rentals, cruises, and other travel-related services based on customer preferences and budget constraints.
- Itinerary Planning: Assist clients in creating travel itineraries by recommending destinations, activities, and accommodations to suit their needs.
- Documentation and Processing: Ensure all necessary documentation, such as tickets, vouchers, and confirmations, are accurately processed and provided to customers.
- Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns, complaints, or issues regarding reservations, cancellations, or changes in travel plans, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Sales and Promotion: Upsell additional services, travel insurance, or upgrades to enhance the customer experience and meet sales targets.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments within the agency, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure smooth customer service and operational efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of reservations, payments, and customer interactions using reservation systems or databases.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Knowledge of travel destinations, accommodations, and transportation options

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field may be preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the travel industry
- Familiarity with reservation systems and booking platforms
