mselect is looking to hire a Sales Engineer for an IT client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The IT Sales Engineer is responsible for generating and closing sales opportunism by leveraging technical expertise in IT products and solutions. They act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical guidance, performing product demonstrators, and working closely with the internal technical and sales teams to deliver the best solutions. The role requires deep knowledge of IT systems, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strategic approach to meeting both customer needs and company sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Consultation and Pre-Sales Support:
  • Conduct needs analysis with potential clients to understand IT requirements and provide suitable solutions
  • Develop and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and technical overviews to prospective clients, ensuring a clear understanding of product capabilities
  • Customize IT solutions to meet client-specific needs, including configuration, compatibility, and system integration requirements
Sales Process Support:
  • Assist the sales team by providing in-depth technical information and support during the sales cycle
  • Collaborate on creating proposals and responding to RFPs/RFIs with technically accurate information
  • Address technical questions, overcome objections, and reassure clients by showcasing the value of proposed IT solutions
Solution Design and Deployment Planning:
  • Design and configure IT solutions that are scalable, cost-effective, and integrate with the client’s existing systems
  • Coordinate with internal product teams to ensure a smooth implementation process, including support during product trials, pilots, and proof of concept (POC) engagements
  • Document solution designs and specifications to ensure alignment across client and engineering teams
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with clients by acting as a point of contact for all technical maker’s
  • Provide post-sales support to address any technical issues that arise and ensure the client's satisfaction
  • Conduct periodic check-ins with clients to offer additional value and identify upselling opportunities
Product Knowledge and Training:
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of IT products, including software, hardware, network solutions, cloud services, and cybersecurity
  • Train customers and internal team members on product features, updates, and best practices
  • Collect and relay customer feedback to the product and development teams to drive continuous improvement
Market Analysis and Competitive Insight:
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in technology
  • Provide insights to the sales and product teams based on market trends and competitor products to ensure competitiveness
  • Identify potential new markets or emerging customer needs and recommend solutions


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Sales professional, preferably in IT or telecommunications
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, including software, hardware, network infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity
  • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of helping secure new business through technical expertise
  • Experience with CRM software, sales tools, and IT solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, and enterprise-level IT applications
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
