Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing sales plans: Develop sales plans and strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. This includes setting sales targets, developing marketing campaigns, and identifying new business opportunities
- Managing a sales team: Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to help them meet their targets
- Recruit, hire, and train new sales staff
- Building and maintaining client relationships: build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues they may have
- Identify new potential clients and develop strategies to win their business
- Analysing sales data: Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement
- Monitoring sales performance, tracking market trends, and conducting market research
- Managing budgets: Manage sales budgets and expenses, ensuring that they are allocated effectively and efficiently to achieve sales targets
- Collaborating with other departments: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to ensure that sales strategies are aligned with overall business objectives
- Developing and implementing sales training programs: Develop and implement sales training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of sales staff
- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management on progress towards sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics
- Analysing market trends and competitor activity to inform sales and marketing strategies
- Conducting sales presentations and negotiations with key customers
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations
- Creating sales reports and presenting them to senior management, highlighting sales trends, opportunities, and challenges in the assigned territory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, or a related field
- Prior sales experience, preferably in a similar industry minimum 10 years, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Proficient in the use of CRM software and other sales tools
- Strong analytical skills to analyse sales data, identify trends, and create effective sales strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers, dealers, and distributors
- Ability to travel frequently to different locations within the assigned territory
