mselect is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for an automotive client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the automotive industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
Responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring regulation compliance, and producing financial reports to aid decision-making. Also, to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of accounting functions within the automotive sector. This includes overseeing financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis specific to vehicle sales, service, and spare parts. The role aims to support decision-making by providing detailed financial insights, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet business objectives. The Senior Accountant also plays a pivotal role in streamlining accounting processes and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
