Job purpose:
- Shift Supervisor is accountable to manage and deliver required volumes according to plans, make sure all agreed goals will be delivered and improved (AMO, waste, quality, Efficiency) considering budget and optimisation of manpower
- Also, SL should have the ability to lead shift DDS and use appropriate IWS tools per shift based on needs. Individuals at this level are expected to demonstrate department level system ownership and have capability to monitor and coach DMS execution within team
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clearly understand department priorities and be responsible for the department goals
- To coordinate one shift of the SMD Manufacturing department resources in an efficient manner, to deliver the required product in quantity/time according to the production plan
- To ensure, in conjunction with the Engineering department, that maintenance plans are executed in time while managing the Opex to ensure compliance to budget and key maintenance cost KPI
- Able to prepare the best achievable production schedule, being aware about all constraints related to machinery combinations, products allocations, downtimes required
- Decide together with above market Production planning team the required volumes to be produced by the factory monthly
- Maintain the factory capacities on SAP system to allow Production planning team to have an accurate view of the installed/available capacity in the factory
- Ensure appropriate usage of SAP system, BI reporting tool and as advised by LM
- Lead Shift DDS to develop shift action plans and be able to allocate resources to deliver the target.
- Understand 90-days action plan target and link daily action plans with key loss elimination themes that help individuals and team to work on right direction
- Lead team to proactively use IWS tools and apply initiatives to deliver the target OEE
- Willing to get breakthrough results, always look at best approaches in both internal and external areas
- Lead execution of department systems, reviews and corrects deviations/trends of operating systems to improve system results
- Ensure proper execution of waste recycling and segregation. Highlight any deviation in the process in DDS meeting
- To execute the defined strategy for SMD Manning/Crewing and Machine maintenance
- To implement, follow up and improve Policies, Procedures and Process controls to ensure continuous manufacturing performance improvements in the following dimensions: Machinery efficiency, Product Quality, Safety and Product Cost
- To support all projects related to Strategic Machinery for SMD ensuring compliance to Global Strategic Machinery strategy and local budget and time constrains. To support implementation of Operations projects requiring SMD involvement
- Sets result tracking process for their module and regularly reviews results with individual and team.
- Identifies training needs and provides training to others.
- Leads meetings and facilitates alignment in their work area
- Communicate to right resources to get help

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- University degree in Engineering
- At least two years of experience in a similar level in a manufacturing company
- Knowledge of production machinery including ancillary equipment, sufficient to manage and lead technical staff
- High level of people management and communication skills, and understanding of human behaviour
- Leadership and ability to influence and motivate the workforce by inspiring teamwork
- Ability to understand and apply costing and budgetary principles
- Advance English both written and spoken
- Ability to use computer (MS-Office etc.)
Self-Developing:
- Be able to read simple technical information, be familiar with Word/Excel/Power point software
- Contribute to performance management done by the team
- Understand the execution of IWS strategy in team level, help in building IWS culture in the shop floor
- Start to build up basic knowledge of operations, link individual’s measure of success (MoS) with business output and understand why and how the achievement of individual target contribute to total results of overall operations
