KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to a program targeting local NGOs and Civil Society Organization (CSOs) capacity building and inclusion in the SI (Social Investment) Program to safeguard sustainability
- Ensure positive dialogue with all stakeholders based on listening, respect and understanding, taking local context into consideration
- Contribute to both internal and External Social Investment Committees on the projects assigned
- Contribute to staff initiatives and participation forum to ensure a level of participation of staff in the SI initiatives (Action!) on the subject matters assigned
- Ensure that participatory approach is applied with all interested stakeholders, especially targeted beneficiaries
- Contribute to updating the SI Talking Points and Communication on the SI Projects in charge
- Design and implementation of social investment projects
- Use the logical framework in the assessment of relevance of potential projects
- Include relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs in all Projects
- Develop relevant input, output and outcome KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for projects performance monitoring and report on them
- Study feasibility of social investment projects in the assigned subject matters proposed by the Social Investments Committee or defined within the ESHIA or initiatives proposed by staff
- Conduct studies to evaluate the socio-economic benefits of executed projects in the regional economy
- Propose to sponsor key events and well selected causes for donation, presented with a rational aligned to the overall need assessments available and SI Strategy
- Contribute to mobilizing staff around SI programs and maximize the opportunities for them to participate
- Conduct all SI activities in the Stakeholder Management Tool including design and implementation of surveys
- Contribute periodically to the SI (Social Investment) Dashboard
- Ensure social investment’s projects implementation within time and budget
- Conduct post-completion impact assessment of projects and contribute to an annual report on achievements and sustainability of actions
- Conduct perception surveys with beneficiaries and regional communities to assess acceptability of performed SI ProJet’s
- Report to hierarchy based on the set metrics on periodic basis
- Develop material for Internal Posting on SI projects progress
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Community Development, Sustainability, Anthropology and Sociology
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and implementation of local development program either for an international development Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) or agency or within the industry
- Advanced project management skills and experience
- High level of interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic towards sensitive cultural, personal and community issues
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Understanding of the economic, political, and social dynamics in operation
- Good reporting skills
- High integrity, capacity to listen, to dialogue essential, superior negotiation and communications skills
- Creativity, open-mindedness, leadership skills, flexibility essential, excellent analytical skills
- Strong team player with maturity to build effective partnerships across corporate and cultural divides
