Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer

mselect is looking to hire a Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer for a hospitality and catering client in Erbil, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in social media management and graphic design. Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and growth, while also creating visually appealing graphics and content to support these initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and graphic design principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management:
  • Strategy Development: Create, plan, and implement social media strategies across various platforms (eg, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Content Creation: Develop, curate, and manage engaging content that aligns with the brand’s voice and objectives
  • Community Engagement: Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a timely manner, fostering a sense of community and building relationships with followers
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to optimize strategies
  • Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions
Graphic Design:
  • Visual Content Creation: Design visually compelling graphics, including social media posts, banners, ads, infographics, and other marketing materials
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms
  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with the marketing team to create visual assets that support promotional campaigns and product launches
  • Video Editing: (Optional) Create and edit short-form videos for social media platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Asset Management: Organize and manage a library of digital assets, including images, templates, and design files

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in social media management and graphic design
  • Experience in a similar hybrid role is preferred (freshers also preferable)
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising is a plus
  • Creativity: Strong creative thinking and design skills, with the ability to produce high-quality visual content that resonates with the target audience
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to craft engaging copy that complements visual content
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
  • Motion Graphics: Experience with motion graphics and animation
  • Photography: Basic photography skills to create original content
  • Copywriting: Ability to write compelling and persuasive copy for social media posts and campaigns
  • Trend Awareness: Keen eye for emerging trends in social media and design
Work Environment:
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations dept.
