mselect is seeking a Spare Parts Storekeeper for a manufacturing client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job objective
To oversee the items in store including management and recording of incoming/ outgoing stocks. The job holder is responsible for stock counting during the month, goods receipt, and delivery both physically and on SAP making sure all movements are updated on time to support production and planning. R&RS is responsible for good housekeeping and cleanliness within the areas under his responsibility. Also, closely coordinate and follow up with the Engineering/ logistic/ SC team to cater for factory requirements OTIF. 

Key Accountabilities

Warehousing:
  • Manage the spare part store organization and space utilization
  • Manage supervision of spare parts movements and control of stocks
  • Completion of the workshop documents according to SOPs
  • Ensure and maintain proper inventory system and all parts issued/ received are reflected immediately on SAP
  • Records all shipments of spare parts and checks with the packing list
  • Provides information on any excess, lost and damaged items
  • Record properly the Receiving/ Issuing/ Stock
  • Ensure discipline and security in Spare Parts store, and report immediately stock movement, and discrepancy information in the daily meeting
  • Produce stock analyses, documents, and reports upon request of management
  • Inform immediately to the management of any fact that can have a serious impact on the Spare Part Store activity
  • Ensure that SOPs/ management and monitoring tools/ Systems related to spare parts management are functioning
  • Ensure the proper storage of parts and the management of locations
  • Maintain Minimum reordering Stock levels and ensure systematic stock reconciliation
Logistics:
  • Ensure delivery to the SMD to meet production plan requirements 
  • Provide relevant reports related to stocks 
  • Ensure that cleaning procedures are strictly followed
Context/ Environment:
  • The stores within the factory are required to hold enough stock to meet the production plan
  • The store area should be managed efficiently and effectively by applying relevant best practices and procedures
  • Close liaison with all key stakeholders is required to ensure that adequate stock is always available within the factory to meet the production plan 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Technical or commerce high school education
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Team-work oriented and good communicator 
  • Experience with SAP system
  • Good understanding of English
  • Good computer skills and inventory management system
  • Good Knowledge of using spare parts catalogues/ Manuals

  • Information that comes from other departments 
  • Minimum defective product stock due to storage, loading, unloading, and shipping
  • No stock run-out due to procedural errors
  • No lost stock items
  • Successful reconciliation during stocktaking
  • Analysis of total inventory and reporting
