Job Purpose
The Accounting & Finance Manager is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CMA, CPA) with an accounting degree and a strong background in financial analysis and accounting, experience in FMCG and manufacturing is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations and accounting processes to ensure accuracy in financial transactions
- Supervise bookkeeping, record daily transactions, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting)
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, while providing financial insights for business decisions
- Manage cost accounting and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records and reporting
- Implement and maintain inventory accounting and valuation methodologies
- Conduct product profitability analysis to assess margins and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Perform branch comparisons and analysis to evaluate financial performance across locations and recommend improvements
- Analyze overhead and revenue breakdowns to support cost control and revenue optimization strategies
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with insights and recommendations
- Prepare financial dashboards, KPIs, and presentations for management review
- Perform any other task assigned by the direct supervisor
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must have ACCA, CMA, CPA, or any equivalent professional certification
Have 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management in FMCG and manufacturing industries.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide financial recommendations and insights
- Expertise in financial analysis, cost control, and accounting software (Preferably with QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
