JOB DIMENSION
- Act as an interface between software engineering teams and the business/users, define requirements and contribute to the delivery of solutions
- Work closely with Business Analyst and other IT resources
- Lead/support projects for delivering the business applications as required
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Provide IS business analysis, business case, project management, solution design/architecture & consultancy services
- Identify key integration points and provide process overview over different applications
- Liaise with the business on all aspects of service delivery and promote IT solutions delivered
- Analyse and define detailed business/ IS requirements to ensure delivery of what is required
- Responsibility for Business Support Software Strategy covering roadmaps, upgrade strategies, IS procurement strategies and value reviews for applications
- Prepare and execute test plans, and ensure compliance with user/business/functional specifications and IT control framework
- Take responsibility and lead / manage significant IS/Business related projects, handling the functional analysis as well as the technical implementation (coordinating resources from IS Teams)
- Acts as single point of contact for business applications ensuring that the roadmap for system evolution and the necessary support and maintenance agreements are in place
- Establish policies, strategies and be responsible for change processes and technical advice for the division
- Able to translate the business requirements into a Business Requirement document independently
- Identify and promote ways in which applications processes, procedures and IS can be changed or adapted
- Generate reports/key performance indicators for both local management and Headquarter Understand a problem from a business perspective, extract and analyze relevant data, and create an automated solution when necessary
- Add value to the business by implementing/developing solutions and/or enhancements that will improve efficiency
- Ensure that system integrity is maintained by following and ensuring compliance with agreed standards and procedures
- Improving and maintaining internal databases to manage project and capacity information for IST
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensuring HSE and IS Security requirements are taken into account when designing and implementing applications
- Providing IS application business analysis
- Providing service to IST in a manner that will meet set targets of time, quality & performance and cost
- Manage and prioritise applications workload
- Following agreed standards and procedures
- The job holder manages the software lifecycle: Business analysis, application development, implementation and support and translate business requirements/processes into structured, supportable solutions
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong interest in IT and technology, and experience of software engineering and application management
- Strong communication & Interpersonal skills
- Motivated individual who takes initiative, is curious and can work independently
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and good communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Good Process driven and detail oriented
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
