Job Purpose
The Compliance Officer must have a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations related to compliance and their impact on the bank's operations. In addition, they must keep up with developments and amendments through a systematic and clear process of education and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on letters received from the Central Bank with other departments and respond to them in a timely manner
- Follow up with the Central Bank committees that conduct periodic inspection visits to the bank and provide them with what is required
- Cooperate with various departments to identify potential compliance risks after raising them to the Compliance Manager to find solutions
- Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's field of work
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Practical experience in the field of compliance, anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism, or internal audit
- Strong knowledge of relevant local and international laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide training and guidance
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
