Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Corporate Relationship Manager (RM) to join corporate's team in Baghdad. The RM will be responsible for managing and developing corporate client relationships by offering comprehensive banking solutions, including account opening, cash management, trade finance, project finance, and other financial services. The RM will play a crucial role in acquiring new clients, maintaining existing relationships, and supporting the banking's overall business strategy to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored banking solutions
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt resolution of their banking needs and queries
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling the bank’s products and services to enhance client engagement
- Proactively identify and onboard new corporate clients to expand the bank’s portfolio
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth targets in line with the bank’s corporate strategy
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends
- Offer advisory services on cash management, trade finance, project finance, and other financial products to optimize clients’ financial performance
- Work closely with internal teams to design customized financial solutions tailored to client's business objectives
- Assess clients’ creditworthiness and coordinate with the credit department for risk assessment and approval
- Oversee the account opening process, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure smooth execution of financial transactions, including trade finance, foreign exchange, treasury, and working capital solutions
- Guide bank branches on best practices for corporate client care and relationship management
- Ensure all client transactions comply with local regulations, international banking standards, and the bank’s internal policies
- Monitor clients’ financial activities to mitigate potential risks and maintain portfolio quality
- Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to address regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering (AML) guidelines
- Prepare periodic reports on client portfolio performance, market trends, and business development progress
- Support senior management in implementing corporate banking strategies and achieving financial targets
- Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the bank’s product offerings and service delivery
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field A master’s degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, or equivalent) is a plus
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate banking, relationship management, or financial services
- Languages: Arabic and English (is a must)
- Strong understanding of corporate banking products and services, including trade finance, project finance, and cash management
- Familiarity with credit analysis, financial structuring, and risk assessment
- In-depth knowledge of local and international banking regulations
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in financial analysis and credit risk assessment
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client portfolios efficiently
