Job Synopsis
The ESP Downhole Reliability Engineer will be a key contributor to the ESP Squad and ESP downhole reliability value chain by effective management of Electrical Submersible Pumps reliability and associated contractors’ supply and services performance and installations quality, which in return increases equipment life and minimize production losses.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparing ESP preliminary Failure Analysis reports by analysing the ESP operating parameters and evidences
- Attending equipment DIFA for disassembling and inspecting failed ESP components to help identify failure cause
- Along with contractors, prepare root cause analysis and dismantle and inspection reports of failed ESP systems
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analyses using industry standard tools such as the 5-Whys and Cause-and-Effect matrix
- Maintain the client’s ESP Failure database updated with ESP failures data
- Support client’s Reliability Advisor & Manager in proposing and implementing improvements to increasing equipment runlife
- Support ESP reliability team to investigate Warranty incidents
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization
Qualifications
- Engineering degree level qualification, or equivalent experience (5+ years), required
- The candidate should have significant experience in ESP design, installation, and operations
- Experience in ESP DIFA/ RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) process
- Proficiency in English language (speech, reading and writing) mandatory
- Excellent skills in interpersonal relations and communication.
- Demonstrate strong decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer and software skills
