mselect is hiring a Facilities Management Assistant for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

Job purpose
Work with minimum supervision and guidance of Facilities management camp supervisor and Team Lead to ensure facilities management services are up to requirements set forth. Act as FM focal point for the areas and or services assigned to, to manage business continuity, safe workplace management and interfaces with other on-site customers and other parties where FM services are being offered to.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as Facilities management assistant for various tasks and locations as assigned from FM Management
  • Manage expectations on service standards (catering, laundry, cleaning, pest control, waste management, reception, accommodation, greenery, grounds, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, office supplies, office management, accommodation, cost control etc.)
  • Support the Facilities department on the development and execution of minor projects
  • Oversee the upkeep of key documents including asset registers, as-built, layout drawings, schematics, diagrams, work process descriptions etc.
  • Achieve sustainable business improvements, especially in HSE and value for money, liaising with expertise from FM Camp Supervisor and FM colleagues as appropriate
  • Plan to measure and evaluate customer and end-user satisfaction with support services, and execute improvement plans as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:
  • Relevant experience in Facilities Management, camp management, customer service function handling all camp management issues
Experience:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in facilities management function as admin or assistant role
  • Proven ability to operate with minimum supervision in a site execution environment, including good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Language proficiency, computer and software skills:
  • English Beginner Level
  • Intermediate Skill in Using Microsoft applications including (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
