Job Purpose
Ensure all incidents and requests raised by client employees are resolved promptly and that IT services provided on-site are reliable and compliant with IT policies. Based on the day-to-day work, propose new solutions to improve business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide field and global support for all employees
- To ensure maximum availability of infrastructure systems at PF1, PF2, Supply Base, Drilling rigs and Construction-Development Camps
- To be flexible and capable of supporting multi-sites on short notice
- Support the implementation/development of new systems and applications
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults
- To support the development of a disaster recovery plan and backup policy
- Ensure documentation of systems is in place and kept up to date
- To support the infrastructure monitoring system information
- Support to keep infrastructure and end user’s hardware inventory updated
- To ensure Service Desk incidents are resolved
- To ensure compliance with IT policy and procedures
- To do proactive maintenance of desktop and laptop computers
- To support rig site surveys and location movements
- To support the Field VHF radios infrastructure
Requirements
- To pursue a career in the field of Information Technology, Systems, or Communications, obtaining a degree at the appropriate level is essential
- At least 5 years’ experience in IT
- Previous oil industry experience preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize effectively
- Previous experience with Office 365 preferred
- Knowledge of networking devices and configuration
- Experience with WIFI and cabling deployments
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and new technologies
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Ability to work under pressure
- A driver's license is a must
- Ability to write, understand and follow policies and procedures
- Flexibility to live in a hard environment and under a rotation schema
- Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish
