Job Scope
The Housekeeper Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the Office are kept clean and tidy. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- The Supervisor’s role is to liaise with Office Services Supervisor on a regular basis, ensuring tasks and work duties are received
- The Supervisor will also direct the Housekeepers on daily basis to carry out their duties
- Ensuring all properties are cleaned according to a predefined schedule
- Coordinate backup housekeeping staff in case of absenteeism or time off of the Housekeepers
- Ensuring that safety is priority, all equipment is in good order and that standards are high
- Conduct daily supervision and oversight of office and accommodation housekeepers
- Responsible of monthly distribution of cleaning materials to all accommodations and offices
- Through delegating all tasks, the supervisor shall maintain contact with the Housekeepers to monitor safe and efficient progress
- Ensuring on completion of all tasks that personnel are re-directed to maintain the workflow
- Report task accomplishments and progress to the Office Services Supervisor at regular intervals
- Report any signs of leaks and breakages immediately to the Office Services Supervisor
- Identify and report possible repair requirements
- Candidate must take instructions from the Company’s Office Services Supervisor for general housekeeping
- Manage and maintain the organization of cleaning material storage, including inventory control and stocking items
- Support the Office Services Supervisor with monthly timesheets and overseeing housekeepers’ attendance and working hours
- Support the Office Services Supervisor with special occasions preparations
- Support the Office Services Supervisor with purchasing, delivering, and movements of office and accommodation items
- Willingness and ability to work with Housekeepers if required
- Perform any other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration
- Demonstrated 2-5 years’ experience in a supervisory position for housekeepers or a related position
- Knowledge of cleaning agents and safety measures; A grasp of HSE and environmental problems would be useful
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Personal vehicle and a valid driver's licence are required
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
- Arabic speaking would be an advantage
- Attention to detail and a positive outlook are requirements
