mselect is looking for a HSE Environmental Field Advisor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job purpose
This position is to solely assist in field environmental duties regarding environmental monitoring programs, field site visit and inspection and reporting that represented 80% of the Environmental Advisor time on filed.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible of conducting environmental inspections, developing inspection reports, creating SMART actions and follow up actions to closure and Support Field Environmental survey work
  • Responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and Data acquisition and reporting of Ambient Air Quality monitoring station.
  • Support field environmental survey work
  • Support for the delivery of the Soil and Ground Water & Noise Monitoring program
  • Responsible for air quality monitoring survey
  • Assessing, analyzing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff and clients
  • Participate in Ready for construction (RFC) Management as part of Contractor Management
  • Responsible for the whole environmental data analyses and collect the water, ODS inventories
  • Responsible for the completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually environmental reports
  • Analyze the Passive tubes, STPs reading and submitting a comprehensives report

Qualifications
  • Degree in Environmental Engineer 
  • Working knowledge of HSE related activities and environmental monitoring programs.
  • 3 years’ experience of relevant job experience
  • Intermediate English and Arabic Language Skills (Reading, Writing & Speaking)
Experience
  • Knowledge in HSE rules and regulations of oil industry
  • Has awareness in STP sampling and soil and groundwater related matters
  • knowledge in recognizing the environmental issues and problems
  • Knowledge in using the Noise hand held equipment
  • Capable of conducting daily and routine check and maintenance for the Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System
  • Experience in conducting Air Quality Monitoring program
  • Experience in data managing and reporting
  • Demonstrable experience in all functional aspects of Environmental Monitoring programs including Environmental contract of Air quality monitoring, Soil and ground water monitoring, Noise Monitoring program, Environmental reports review, AAQMS (Ambient Air Quality System) Station Managing and maintaining
