Job Purpose
The Well Services WSL reports to the Well Services Team Leader 3. The position is responsible for the integration of good oil field practices through site inspections and self-verification. The position is required to lead by example and be the designate on location, engage in all onsite TBT, RA and ensure the SWA authority is understood and used, this position shall understand and follow the site work program and communicate direct to the Coordinator/Superintendent if any unsafe action, condition or deviation is observed.
Key Responsibilities
- Interrogate relevant specifications and company procedures ensuring all materials received is within the set-out acceptance criteria
- Be accountable for the inspection off incoming materials
- Carrying out material inspection and MTC review as per the NDT requirements for welded pipes, fittings and casting, RT, PT, MPT and UT in accordance with international code
- Monitor the storage and preservation of all materials
- Monitor calibration status and condition of Inspection/Test and Measuring instruments
- Review contract documents to ensure identification and comprehension of quality requirements
- Participate in internal & external audits and assessments
- Prepare accordingly documents relevant to data control, inspection reporting, technical queries
- Prepare non-conformance reports and assist in developing corrective actions
- Coordinate all inspection requirements Verify the product for its compliance to approved data sheets drawings Produce necessary inspection report and release notes
- Integrate with and work alongside the quality team and perform all related tasks as and when requested by the supervisor
- Provide technical inputs for vendor queries, conformance reports and non-conformance reports Review vendor queries, CR (Conformance Reports), NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) for possible resolutions and analyse fitness to purpose Provide necessary recommendations that need to be forwarded to the client
- Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken
- Review all inspection reports for compliance
- Perform any duties that may be required to enhance the work
Key Accountabilities
- Support and adhere to and promote the HSE principles
- Report all safety related incidents and to monitor compliance with HSE standards in all working areas
- Refuse to commence any working activity where it is felt the work would place yourself, co-workers or equipment at risk
- Familiarize yourself with all related work instructions and procedures in place for each job to be undertaken
- Take instruction and cooperate with supervisors or foreman to assist where required in line with Company standards
- Ensure the receipt, storage and issue of all materials is conducted in accordance with good warehouse practices
- Company procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Be aware of all appropriate HSE standards; ensure good housekeeping and compliance by all personnel within the base
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline
- Proven experience within a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Previous experience working with a major EPC contractor
- CSWIP 31
- Certified Welding Engineer (IWE) preferable
- Member of recognized Engineering / Quality Institute preferable
