Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety and Environment Activities:
- Support and enforce project guidelines and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives
- Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies, accidents and incidents
Key Activities
- Supervise the selected contractors to carry out the Pipeline and Flowlines works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites
- Ensure the operational management of the Works Contract, logistics, setting up the site, interface with the Operator
- Prepare operations in various l disciplines
- Ensure the Construction Engineering work is carried out by the contractor on behalf of the client with emphasis on compliance with the project budget and schedule
- Supervise the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules
- Optimize and follow work schedules, by ensuring the organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site
- Ensure good coordination/interface between the Site (the contractor and the operator) and the various entities involved in the project
- Check the procedures and task sheets/schedules of the companies, participate in the preparation of risk analyses and check the permits to work
- Supervise and check for consistency in the technical information provided by the Contractor
- Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site (Verification of equipment provided by client)
- Act as the Operations Manager, in the work permit procedure when required
- Anticipate all potential challenges, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions
- Ensure the receipt, control, and transmission of all Contractors' documents
- Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc)
- Participate in periodic meetings, (preparation or control of meeting minutes)
- Supervise and validate the approval of the works with the Construction Manager and the Contractors
- Act as a substitute for the Contractor where necessary for the success of the Project
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field within construction.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on construction
- Proven experience as a Pipeline Construction Supervisor on both onshore Greenfield and brownfield projects
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of General Specifications, rules, procedures, and International Codes and Standards.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in managing Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) is an advantage
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within complex project teams
- Capable of serving as an interface between interdisciplinary departments and working effectively within an international team
Language Proficiency:
Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
