Job Scope
Supervising all aspects of pipework installation/air blowing /Testing and reinstating activities on site in conjunction with our Contractors: Construction activities, daily RFI inspections, all construction related trades and ensuring compliance to the approved for construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all construction mechanical and piping activities at project site
- Ensure that Permit to Work (PTW) system is followed for all Mechanical and Piping construction activities on site
- Supervise and lead Contractor/ Subcontractors supervisor’s, skilled, semi-skilled supervisors, and their workforce
- Supervise and ensure that the Mechanical and Piping construction works are in line with good engineering practice and in line with HSE, QA/QC and Engineering Specifications prescribed in the Scope of Works
- Keep a daily record book of works executed, quantum of works to be executed, equipment and personnel on site
- To monitor and witness the daily inspection activities (RFI system) as required
- Keep line manager updated on any possible variations to the Scope of Works
- Ensure that equipment operators follow operating guidelines (fitness certification, no overloading, requirement of banksman) etc during operation
- Ensure that QA/QC procedures including tests and test results are in-line with requirements prior to proceeding with the next sequential activity
- Ensure that all tools and equipment used on site have a valid calibration certification
- Ensure that procedures for the safe execution of tasks are in place and adhered to (including Method Statements, Permits-to Work, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Talks and Mass Toolbox Talks)
- Ensure that all activities are accurately recorded in the daily report in-order to help with planning and mitigation
- Implements all HSE guidelines and regulations and ensures compliance with acceptable norms and standards
- Ensure that the latest IFC drawings are being referred during the execution of works
- Supervise contractor and their personnel working on all Mechanical and Piping related activities
- Identify solutions for any issue and interact with the Field Engineering Team where final decision will be made
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations
Problem Solving:
Investigates potential and identified problems to find cost effective solutions and implements when approved, monitors results
Reporting and Communication:
- Reports to the Line Manager on all issues relating own responsibilities
- Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all Pearl staff
Requirements
- Degree in engineering of Piping or mechanical trades qualification
- A minimum experience of 3-5 years in Oil and Gas or Similar position regarding M+P scope
